Medical Assistant/Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant - Orthopedics

Located in Avon, the Richard E. Jacobs Health Center is part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. This facility offers advanced specialty and primary care, an outpatient surgery center, an infusion suite for chemotherapy, a full-scale imaging center, and two pools for aquatic therapy.

As an Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant or Medical Assistant, you will work in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP). Your responsibilities will include patient care, rooming process, specimen collection, exam assistance, treatment administration, and documentation in the electronic health record.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, healthcare experience, understanding of human anatomy, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. For Medical Assistants, graduation from an approved program or military training is required.

Physical requirements include manual dexterity, extended periods of standing, walking or sitting, and light work exertion.
