The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners and administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. Responsibilities Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff Manage all aspects of probate proceedings, including filing petitions, preparing court documents, and overseeing estate administration Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and power of attorney arrangements Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws Draft clear, precise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes related to estate matters, family law issues, or creditor claims Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and hearings with professionalism and advocacy Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas such as environmental law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, and litigation to provide comprehensive legal solutions Qualifications Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association – active member preferred Graduation from law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years Work independently while handling a heavy caseload Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1–2 years required Well‑versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) Experience 3–5 years of proven experience practicing probate law with a strong foundation in estate planning and estate administration Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation cases involving probate disputes or contested estates Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis for case analysis and legal writing Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail in preparing court documents and client correspondence Strong negotiation skills to facilitate settlements or resolve conflicts efficiently Prior experience working in a law office environment with exposure to diverse practice areas, including family law, securities law, or tribal regulations, is preferred Knowledge of legal administrative processes related to case management and client communication Compensation $85,000 – $125,000 per year + generous quarterly bonus + signing bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr The Florida Probate & Family Law Firm
