Howmet Aerospace is transforming the next phase of more fuel-efficient, quieter aerospace engines and sustainable ground transportation.Position OverviewAs a polisher/deburr you will be responsible for removing imperfections, sharp edges and burrs from manufactured parts to achieve a smooth, precise finish using various tools and equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesUse hand tools and power tools including high speed Dremel tools, polishing wheels, and buffing wheels, to remove burrs, nicks, scratches, and rough edges from manufactured parts.Polish or blend parts to correct defects, prepare surfaces for further finishing, and achieve a specified finish level.Refer any issues regarding Deburr and Manual Operations areas to leads or supervisorsQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalentPrevious experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred but not required.Attention to detailManual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to read blueprintsBasic math and measurement skillsSafety awarenessVerification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
