Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub, circulate, and monitoring roles for diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Operate and manage advanced hemodynamic support equipment including IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS
• Monitor patients using EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring protocols
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management standards
• Participate in on-call rotation: 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts per 6-week period, including one full weekend of call (Friday–Sunday) and one Saturday elective case shift; must be available to return to facility within 30 minutes when called
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia license required; emergency authorization available while permanent VA license is processing)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum prior travel or comparable cath lab experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Proficiency with Epic EMR for clinical charting
• Demonstrated experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings utilizing fluoroscopy
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations and return to facility within 30 minutes when called

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced structural heart procedures including TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, and renal denervation
• Familiarity with research protocols within a cath lab environment
• Experience in a high-volume, academic, or teaching hospital setting
