HR DIRECTOR PART-TIME LOCATION NAISNY- Part Time Job – Office JOB PURPOSE Our New York school is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Director to serve as a trusted advisor to school leadership and a champion for our people and culture. This role offers approximately 20 hours per week (around 4 hours per day) and is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on in a close-knit environment. Our school is often described as a "ray of sunshine" within New York's educational landscape, known for its supportive culture, strong relationships, and commitment to the wellbeing of students, families, and staff. Reporting directly to the Principal , with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Regional Human Resources Director , the Human Resources Director is a key member of the School Senior Leadership Team. The role is also supported by Nord Anglia Education's experienced US Shared Services Team , providing expertise and assistance in areas such as payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, and employee lifecycle processes. This is a highly hands-on HR leadership role . Working within a small team environment, you will be involved in all aspects of the employee experience, including: Recruitment and onboarding Employee relations and performance management Payroll and benefits coordination Compliance and HR administration Employee engagement and retention Training and professional development Workforce planning and organizational support REPORTING TO Principal and dotted line to Regional HR Director DIRECT REPORTS None OTHER KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Regional HR Director School SLT Staff Regional HR team Regional HR Shared services Regional Financial team Other members of NAE region/group and other school HRDs External: HR vendors at the school level Background check KEY RESULTS AREA Key Duties This is a highly hands-on and collaborative HR leadership role within a small school environment. While working in matrix organization with the Regional HR Director, Regional HR Team, and US Shared Services Team, the role requires the successful candidate to actively manage both strategic and day-to-day HR operations, ensuring an exceptional employee experience and consistent execution of all people processes at the school level.
