QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalency preferred. * Must possess a valid Nebraska driver's license and have a good driving record. * Must be of good moral character. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to) * Assists the driver by monitoring student behavior and upholding rules. * Exercises sound judgment and maintains good public relations with parents, students, and staff. * Arrives at bus barn 15 minutes before scheduled departure time. * Learns the route and is able to assist substitute drivers with directions and any other pertinent information about the students and/or the route. * Monitors safety supplies in and on all special education vehicles * Emergency Response Checklist * First Aid * Assist with loading and unloading of passengers. * Greets students and parents with courtesy and politeness. * Dresses appropriately for the job. * Works in partnership with the driver.
