Description Job Title: Tax Accountant Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year Who We Are Not: We are not a traditional CPA firm - we are a multi-disciplined group of professionals solving the most common issues small business owners face: effective business management using data, mitigating risk through insurance, and retaining employees through effective payroll and benefits. We ask our tax team members to become credentialed in both tax and investment management. Our goal is not billable hours but strong client relationships where clients use us for multiple services. Job Overview: Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and taxation? Guardian Financial Group is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing tax returns, managing client relationships, and striking a balance between client advocacy and compliance. Responsibilities: Review individual and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients Assist with tax audits and resolving tax-related issues Maintain organized and accurate financial records Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or EA certification preferred 3+ years of experience in tax accounting Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in tax preparation software (we use CCH Axcess) Attention to detail and accuracy Note: In accordance with EEOC guidelines, we do not inquire about criminal backgrounds during the hiring process.
