Metal Recycling Yard Sorter
Pay: Competitive Pay
Schedule: Full-Time
Type: Temp-to-Hire
We are looking for dependable individuals to join our team as Metal Recycling Yard Sorters. This position involves sorting and separating scrap metals, removing contaminants, and helping maintain an organized and efficient recycling yard. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities- Sort and separate various types of metal, including steel, aluminum, and other recyclable materials
- Identify and remove non-metal materials and contaminants
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and proper classification
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the yard
- Assist with operating sorting equipment and machinery as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Work closely with team members to meet production goals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish between different types of metals
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Metal sorting or recycling experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment

This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and manual handling of scrap materials throughout the day. Employees work in a recycling yard environment that may be noisy, dusty, and exposed to varying weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and safely performing physically demanding tasks.
