Respiratory Therapist II – Respiratory Therapy Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Requirements: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Experience in critical care areas Knowledge of protocol ventilator management Ability to deliver patient care in complex patient situations Skills in patient, family, and support system education Roles & Responsibilities: Administer medications and implement respiratory care based on knowledge and experience. Deliver patient care in critical care settings with significant independent decision-making. Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory care and management. Participate in the development and education of new staff and assist in professional development activities. Address the biological, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients and their families while providing care. Compliance / Notes: Participation in orientation and ongoing training may be required. Background checks and drug screening may be necessary.
