As an intern with the Electrification and Automation (EA) division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure , you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow - all within a collaborative, impact-driven environment.  

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Commercial Project Management Summer – Fall 2027 Co-op beginning in May 2027. This hybrid position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location.  

You’ll make an impact by: 

• Supporting project financial planning, forecasting, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates for large-scale Energy Automation and Data Center projects. 
• Assisting with revenue, cost, cash flow, profitability, and order intake tracking to support project performance objectives. 
• Analyzing project data to identify risks, opportunities, variances, and areas for process improvement. 
• Supporting change order management, invoicing activities, and commercial milestone reporting. 
• Collaborating with Commercial Project Managers, Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Project Execution teams to support project objectives. 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a basic understanding of financial concepts, reporting, data analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the Summer and Fall 2027 semesters, with hybrid work flexibility and occasional in-person attendance (up to 3 days per week) for training, professional development, and team activities. 
• Candidates must be enrolled with the North Carolina State University co-op program. 
• Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support. 
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. 
• This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment. 
• Experience with project management and milestone tracking.
• Experience with business reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, or data analytics. 
• Experience collaborating with Finance, Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, or other cross-functional teams.
