This engineer will collaborate with MLengineers, embedded software developers, and systems teams to deliver production-ready solutions across Lucid’s vehicle platforms.Responsibilities• Research, develop, and integrate bird’s-eye-view (BEV) transformer models forperception tasks.• Research and develop state-of-the-art machine-learning-based predictionsolutions for production perception systems.• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests.• Deploy and optimize ML models on embedded platforms.• Write production-grade C++ code aligned with MISRA/AUTOSAR standards.• Develop and maintain diagnostic pipelines for perception modules.• Debug and resolve static analysis violations and performance bottlenecks.• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across ML, perception, systems, andsafety.Qualifications• Strong foundation in software integration, operating systems used in embeddedenvironments, including QNX and Ubuntu, and embedded software development.• Strong theoretical foundation and practical expertise in deep-learning algorithmsfor dynamic and static object detection, tracking, and segmentation.• Experience contributing to large, complex production codebases in a collaborativedevelopment environment.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or arelated field.• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Candidates considered for asenior-level position should have additional relevant industry experience or a Ph.D.in a related field.Preferred Qualifications• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or a related field.• Deep understanding of deep learning deployment pipelines and GPU inference.• Experience developing BEV transformer models for perception.• Hands-on experience with embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Drive Orin/Xavier.• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and debugging.• Strong familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it! Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
