This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Collaborate with other departments in the club to ensure members have a well-rounded experienceProvide excellent customer service to all Equinox members and guestsParticipate in ongoing training and developmentMaintain studio and equipment cleanlinessSupervising the Group Pilates staff and operations of the Group Pilates program to ensure the highest level of programming and customer service Assuring classes are full and high member participationRecruiting, hiring, training, motivating, directing, coaching and evaluating Group Pilates instructors and classesEnsuring that the group fitness studios are well maintainedMaintaining monthly payroll expenses and supply expenses at or below budgetDeliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each classAdhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessaryContinuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the classEnsure class begins and ends on timeTeach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimumQualificationsThe successful candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:Test out and completion from a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program or completion of certification on all Pilates apparatus including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, and barrels A minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education must be completed through a Pilates certification program Applicants must be able to provide a valid copy of their Pilates certification(s) Exceptional customer service skillsExperience teaching group classesMust be friendly, vibrant, and outgoingEssential Physical Requirements:Standing, sitting, and walkingSquatting, bending, and reachingPushing, pulling, ability to safely spot and correct clients during sessionAS A PILATES INSTRUCTOR OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:Compensation for time spent in internal Pilates continuing education and business development to support your growth as a Pilates Instructor and professional Access to our company discounts with various certifying bodies and countless free continuing education Pilates workshopsBonus opportunities for eligible instructorsAccess to Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits within the first month of employment for full-time employeesPathway to Pilates management opportunities and Pilates Educator opportunitiesPay Transparency: $25 - $27 per hour; $85 - $95 per class Additional InformationAS A MEMBER OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:We offer competitive salary, benefits, and industry leading commission opportunities for club employeesComplimentary Club membershipPerks and incentives with our products and services including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and ShopThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
