Assembler

Main Purpose The assembler assembles products until they are completed to acceptance test procedures and routing operations by performing the responsibilities below. Reporting to Operations Manager Responsibilities Read, interpret electromechanical drawings, and follow detailed work instructions from production travelers. Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling. Uses equipment such as magnifying glass (microscope), ohm meter, epoxy machine, hydraulic crimping machine. Execute production hand-soldering tasks in accordance with industry standards, IPC610, IPC620. Cut, Strip, and crimp cables according to schematic requirements. Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations, wearing PPE. Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. Operates any equipment needed to perform job. Performs related duties as needed by supervision. Follow company safety procedures and quality standards. Qualifications / Skills High school diploma or GED One year of related experience / Certificate in electronics or equivalent experience Soldering experience Other Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Open to fast paced work style and results driven Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain a clean and organized working area. Ability to multi-task, plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner Ability to work overtime or mandatory physical inventory as needed Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM TO 3:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
