POSITION SUMMARY
The VP, Information Technology Manager position is responsible for providing hands-on leadership of GreenWay Bank’s information technology function and ensuring the Bank’s technology environment is secure, reliable, effective, and aligned with business needs. Reporting to the EVP, Chief Financial Officer, this position leads the Information Technology team, oversees key technology partners and vendors, and translates technology strategy and opportunities into practical solutions and successful execution.
This position also serves as GreenWay Bank’s designated Information Security Officer (ISO), providing leadership and oversight of the Bank’s Information Security Program, cybersecurity, technology risk, and related regulatory compliance.
Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, initiative, effective leadership, and the ability to move priorities and projects from idea and planning through implementation and completion.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Information Technology Leadership & Operations
Lead the Bank’s Information Technology function, including technology operations, infrastructure, networks, systems and applications, security, projects, and technology-related initiatives.
Serve as a hands-on, working IT Manager who actively participates in day-to-day technology operations, technical support, systems administration, implementations, projects, troubleshooting, and escalations alongside the Information Technology team.
Develop and execute practical IT priorities and strategies aligned with the Bank’s business objectives, operational needs, risk profile, and growth.
Partner with business leaders to evaluate technology needs and lead the selection, implementation, integration, administration, and ongoing support of technology systems and applications that support Bank operations.
Evaluate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and identify opportunities for responsible and secure adoption consistent with the Bank’s risk, privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
Manage technology initiatives from identification and planning through implementation, communication, and completion.
Information Security, Risk & Compliance
Serve as the Bank’s designated Information Security Officer (ISO) and lead, administer, and maintain the Bank’s Information Security Program in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
Oversee cybersecurity and information-security risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, internal and external penetration testing, and remediation activities.
Maintain appropriate IT general controls and coordinate IT general controls testing, audits, regulatory examinations, and related remediation, as well as internal and external penetration testing audits.
Provide required information-security, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance reporting to Senior Management and the Board or appropriate Board committee, with appropriate independent access to the Board for Information Security Officer matters.
Coordinate security awareness and related information-security education across the Bank.
Vendor Management, Governance & Reporting
Lead the Bank’s technology vendor relationships, including the Navanta relationship, contract, services, engagements, performance, projects, and escalations.
Effectively utilize internal resources and external technology partners to achieve business objectives, maximize vendor value, and appropriately manage costs.
Lead the Bank’s vendor management, vendor data-risk, due diligence, and ongoing vendor review processes.
Develop, maintain, and update IT and information-security policies, standards, procedures, and related documentation.
Lead the Bank’s IT Steering Committee and ensure required monthly, quarterly, and annual IT, information-security, risk, vendor, and governance reporting is completed accurately and timely.
Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent relevant education and experience will be considered.
Relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CBISO, or similar certification preferred.
Experience
Five (5) or more years of progressive information technology, cybersecurity, or related experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
Previous leadership experience supervising employees, managing technology vendors, and/or leading complex technology initiatives preferred.
Experience with information security, cybersecurity, IT risk management, regulatory compliance, audits/examinations, and technology infrastructure strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong working knowledge of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, information security, IT controls, internal and external penetration testing and technology risk management.
Knowledge of banking technology and applicable regulatory expectations, including GLBA and FFIEC guidance.
Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and effectively move multiple priorities from concept through completion.
Strong communication and relationship-management skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, auditors, examiners, vendors, and other business partners.
Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency, security, data utilization, and business operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position primarily operates in banking office environments and routinely uses standard office equipment, computers, phones, printers, scanners, technology equipment/devices, and other banking technology systems while providing I.T. service across the bank.
While performing the essential functions of this role, the employee may be required to:
Frequently move throughout the office environment to assist employees, access workstations, install technology equipment/devices, and/or perform operational tasks
Handle I.T. documents/data with accuracy and attention to detail
Occasionally bend, reach, stoop, or kneel while performing I.T. operational responsibilities
Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
Operate a computer, technology equipment, and other standard office and I.T. equipment/devices
Communicate effectively in person, by phone, video, and electronic communications
Occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds, including technology equipment, devices, office supplies, and other operational materials
