A day in this role

Your morning starts with the MEP team—engineers, architects, builders, and manufacturing pros—aligning on the day’s priorities. You’ll refine a power distribution model in Revit, run a quick arc-flash and selective coordination check in your preferred analysis tool, and jump on a call with a client to clarify operating conditions for a healthcare wing. After lunch, you’ll walk the factory floor to review a prototype panel assembly, collaborate with installers on fit and flow, then finalize drawings and documentation for release to production—on schedule.

What you’ll do

• Research, design, and detail facility electrical systems for projects of varying scale to meet client requirements.
• Own electrical system and equipment design, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and construction partners to define and adjust design parameters.
• Analyze system performance and safety—perform selective coordination, arc-flash, illumination, and energy performance studies—to optimize reliability and efficiency.
• Support manufacturing-driven delivery: modeling, selecting manufacturing and construction methods, assisting with fabrication, testing, and deployment of products and systems.
• Interface directly with customers and partners to confirm goals, specifications, environmental conditions, feasibility, and cost for new facility electrical systems.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards.
• Help oversee CAD/Revit design modeling activities and maintain alignment to project timelines.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and field installation teams to improve quality, throughput, and implementation efficiency.
• Support the project lead by coordinating inputs from managers, engineers, drafters, and production personnel across all phases.

What you bring Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience in facility electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical design standards and regulations such as the National Electrical Code and NFPA 99 (Healthcare Facilities Code).
• Ability to contribute independently and thrive in cross-functional teams.
• Reliability and punctuality with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication.

Preferred

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Background in healthcare facility design.
• 3D modeling experience—especially Revit—plus AutoCAD and CADMEP.
• Proficiency with electrical analysis tools (e.g., EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM) and Dapper/Captor.
