Administrative Asst. II - Cardiology
Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of secretarial functions to include typing, filing, computer knowledge, organizational and people skills in a customer friendly environment within Erlanger Health System. Composes letters, Microsoft Office computer skills required. Adaptability in a seamless manner to constantly changing work environment required; frequent interruptions; flexible hours. Must be a team player and capable of multitasking. Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time utilizing computer keyboard and screen, arranging appointments, placing, receiving and returning telephone calls and messages. Knowledge of medical terminology.
Education: Required: High school graduate Two years post high school education or related work experience General office practice, business communication or comparable combination of education and experience. Preferred: 2 yr. Associate Degree in secretarial/business or comparable education
Experience: Required: Two years of secretarial experience and in the health care setting. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
