HVAC Field Service Operations SupervisorA day in the lifeYou start the morning in Portland with quick check-ins and a safety huddle for Field Service Technicians and Lead Service Technicians. You review the day’s schedule, rebalance resources to cover urgent calls, and confirm pre-job plans are in place. A glance at performance dashboards shows yesterday’s productivity, service quality, and documentation accuracy—notes are captured for coaching moments.By mid-morning, you’re on-site for a ride-along, observing work practices, reinforcing safety standards, and offering real-time technical guidance. An escalated customer question comes in; you resolve it professionally and adjust the schedule so a complex startup receives the advanced expertise it needs—yours. Back at the office, you align with Service Leadership, Sales, and Administrative teams on upcoming work and logistics, then meet with Equipment Sales to plan execution strategies for projects on the horizon.Afternoon includes reviewing technician reports, ensuring consistent, high-quality notes and timely submission. You verify tooling and service vehicle inventory status and plan corrective actions where needed. Before you wrap, you log performance feedback, finalize training recommendations, and note certification goals for team members.
