IT Architect

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience in place of the degree.
• We require six years of IT experience delivering technical solutions, including at least two years on IT architecture-related initiatives.
• We require at least one year of experience using modeling methods such as BPMN, UML, or ER.
• We require at least one year of experience in a technical leadership capacity, with or without direct reports.
• We are looking for someone who understands enterprise architecture mission and architecture best practices.
• We value experience supporting technology strategy, governance, and architecture standards.

• We support the definition and delivery of enterprise technology standards, architecture governance, and reference architectures.
• We contribute to the IT technology strategy and help execute the architecture process for technology solutions under senior architect guidance.
• We collaborate with architects, engineering, security, infrastructure, delivery, project, and business teams to align solutions with strategy, risk, and operating models.
• We develop solution architectures, roadmaps, and system transition plans that connect business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture.
• We produce architecture artifacts such as logical, conceptual, and physical models to inform detailed design.
• We help evaluate and select technologies when requested.
• We provide domain insight to shape architecture strategy and future technology direction.
• We identify capability gaps, architectural shortcomings, and industry trends that influence future planning.
• We define and communicate architecture standards, guidelines, and direction with senior guidance.
• We help establish architectural best practices that guide technology solution design.
• We work with IT and business leadership on decisions related to adopting new technology.
• We act as a subject matter expert, share architecture knowledge across the organization, and present to internal and external audiences.
• We complete assigned work, support business projects, coordinate resources, solve complex problems, and escalate high-priority risks when needed.
• We foster learning, build stakeholder relationships, adapt to change, and support team collaboration.

We are hiring a flexible individual contributor based in Greensboro, NC, with the expectation that the selected candidate may need to report to our assigned office there at least part of the time each week. In this role, we support enterprise architecture governance and technology direction, partnering across technical and business teams to improve decision-making, strengthen standards, and accelerate delivery while balancing policy with practical execution.
