Job Overview:

As a Barista, you’ll be responsible for the forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar to catering and special events.​ The barista will be responsible for taking orders , answering questions regarding menu and drink selections, work closely with wait, bar staff to ensure that everything operated efficiently.

Your Responsibilities:

• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs, observing dining process.
• Maintain table setting, replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma
• At least 1 year kitchen experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
