Primary job functions include repairing all product types with little guidance, completing all repair types with additional skills requirements, performing minor repairs on top of surface of case pieces and tables, performing solid color paper/side refinishes, performing small corner damages that requires rebuild, having a general understanding of spray booth set up and use, performing advance replacement part repairs, communicating any maintenance of tools, parts and hardware needed as well as keeping repair area/shop clean, helping to inspect damaged products and conveying if it can be repaired to like new conditions, working with warehouse personnel on techniques of minor touch up on products during the inspection process, documenting and following through on recurring product damages, assisting other technicians, accurately reporting situations that occur when repairs cannot be completed, assessing damages to determine the most efficient way to repair them, identifying damage, loss or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse, demonstrating the company's core and growth values in the performance of all job functions, complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas, maintaining proper safety usage of all products that are used within the department, maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle, including maintaining required repair materials and supplies, adhering to driving policy for company vehicles, including meeting annual MVR review requirements, following the planned route to ensure on-time arrival for customer repairs, and safe operation of hand and power hand tools, especially drills, impact drivers, and multi-tools, completing bench testing evaluations for regular validation of skills.

Knowledge/skills/abilities include a high school diploma, 1-year practical work experience in furniture repair including upholstery, leather repairs and wood refinishing or similar experience working with other materials and completing color matching, the ability to read, understand, and write in the English language; additional languages beneficial, the ability to work independently and manage time effectively, the ability to learn in-house computer programs, and a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record per company guidelines.

Physical requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to read reports, view computer screen, etc., the ability to hear and understand speech to interact with others, the ability to speak so that others will be able to understand, the ability to remain in a seated position for extended periods of time, the ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands to include keyboarding, handwriting, office/POS equipment and handheld equipment operation, the ability to remain on one's feet in an upright position and move about on foot, the ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach at or above shoulder level, the ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and more with assistance, working predominately in a private home or retail establishment; occasional work at warehouse locations, and potential exposure to oil, latex, and spray paint, household chemicals, biological odors and household dusts; moderate office noise.
