We are currently seeking an Assistant Director - Surgical Services with 2 years progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position to join our team.

As the Assistant Director - Surgical Services, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Surgical Services in the management and leadership of the surgical department. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of safety and efficiency within the department. • Provide leadership and guidance to the surgical team, working closely with the Director.
• Ensure high standards of surgical care and patient safety through quality assurance programs.
• Manage daily surgical department operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Support the professional growth and development of surgical staff through mentoring and training.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and departmental policies related to surgical services.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field; Master's degree in healthcare administration or nursing leadership preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical services with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of surgical best practices, regulations, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/ Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
