Medical Lab TechnologistPAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Spokane, WA.Work Schedule: FlexibleJob Responsibilities:Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degreePreferred Qualifications:1 year or more working in a Clinical or Hospital LabASCP or AMT certificationAdditional Job Standards:Ability to work independently and within a team environmentAble to pass a standardized color blindness testHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitaskFlexible to work overtime as neededExceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalComfortable working under minimal supervisionProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory informationIn this position you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".Pay Range: $27.77 to $37.00 hourlyAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
