Senior Architectural Welder-Fabricator - Nashville, TN

Location: In-person - 2180 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211

Type: Full-time

Pay: $25-$40/hour based on skill and experience (weekly direct deposit; OT available; skill-based bumps for TIG / stairs / install)

Radius: Nashville metro - local candidates preferred (roughly within ~40 miles)

THE ROLE

We're a custom architectural metal shop building showcase work for luxury homes and upscale commercial: floating and mono-stringer stairs, spiral stairs, glass and cable railings, ornamental railings, and one-off architectural features.

We're expanding the shop and need experienced welders/fabricators who already turn out clean, tight work - not helpers, not fresh grads, not production-line only.

DAY TO DAY

- Precise MIG welding (short-arc and spray) on mild steel, stainless, and aluminum for railings, stringers, and custom pieces

- Fit, tack, and finish weldments from shop drawings / blueprints

- Grind and prep for powder coat or high-end polish

- Layout complex angles, curves, radii, and stair geometry

- Run shop equipment: shear, press brake, ironworker, band saws, standard fab tools

- Occasional site measure, delivery, or install (field experience is a plus)

MUST HAVE

- 3+ years real custom or architectural welding/fabrication (stairs and railings strongly preferred)

- Clean, consistent MIG beads on steel; stainless and/or aluminum experience preferred

- Confident blueprint reading and accurate layout

- Reliable, detail-focused, shop-ready every day

- Able to show work: resume plus clear phone photos of your strongest custom stair, railing, or architectural metal projects

STRONG PLUS (moves you up the pay band)

- TIG on stainless or aluminum

- Floating / mono-stringer / complex stair experience

- Field install experience

- Bilingual English/Spanish
