Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition. Ability to react quickly in emergent situations. Has a basic working knowledge of all unit functions and is responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining and organizing all necessary equipment and supplies. Duties may include scheduling appointments, compiling and copying medical charts, reports, and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent Experience Preferred: Previous experience as EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant, or completion of ‘fundamentals of nursing’ for nursing students Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
