Data Platform Manager

**MUST BE LOCAL TO THE COLUMBUS, OH METROPOLITAN AREA*** Manager – Data Platform & Cloud Transformation A little about this gig: Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Data Platform Manager to fill an open position with one of our clients in the financial services industry. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a data technology professional who is passionate about cloud transformation, data governance, and building high-performing teams. In this role, you will lead a team of platform engineers responsible for modernizing enterprise data platforms and driving strategic cloud migration initiatives. Working closely with senior technology and data leaders, you will influence the future-state data ecosystem while enabling next-generation analytics and business capabilities. This position combines hands-on technical leadership with people management and strategic planning responsibilities, offering the chance to shape scalable, secure, and governed data solutions that support critical business functions. Key responsibilities include: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of platform engineers and contractors while managing resource allocation and delivery priorities Drive enterprise cloud data platform initiatives, including data warehouse modernization, cloud migrations, and platform innovation Partner with architects, data governance teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement scalable data solutions that support reporting and analytics needs Maintain platform stability, operational excellence, and roadmap execution while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and emerging technology adoption Help define and execute the data technology roadmap while overseeing cloud-based data initiatives across technology and business functions The ideal candidate: Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience managing data warehouse or data platform teams Proven experience implementing enterprise-scale cloud data solutions and migration strategies Strong knowledge of AWS technologies including Lambda, S3, EC2, IAM, and related cloud-native services Experience with ETL and data movement tools such as AWS Glue, Informatica, or IBM InfoSphere Understanding of data governance, data management practices, data quality, and enterprise data architecture Experience with DevOps methodologies, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, and software development practices using Python, Java, Scala, or C/C++ Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders Reasons to love it: Opportunity to lead a strategic cloud transformation initiative with enterprise-wide impact High visibility role partnering with senior technology and data leadership teams Ability to shape the future data platform strategy and influence technology decisions Strong leadership opportunity focused on team building, mentoring, and innovation in a modern cloud environment **MUST BE LOCAL TO THE COLUMBUS, OH METROPOLITAN AREA*** #J-18808-Ljbffr Agility Partners
