What You'll Be Doing As a Purchasing Specialist at Nextech

You'll play a critical role in strengthening purchasing accuracy, spend visibility, and cost control across the organization. This is a hands-on, analytical role where your insights directly influence smarter buying decisions and long-term savings.

1. Own and maintain accurate product costs, pricing, vendor details, part classifications, and purchasing data within our ERP system
2. Monitor vendor spend, rogue spend, and purchasing activity to identify off-contract buying and non-compliant behavior
3. Analyze purchase orders, pricing trends, and spend patterns to uncover cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
4. Compare actual purchases against negotiated vendor pricing to ensure pricing compliance and contract adherence
5. Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to support vendor negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Prepare and deliver recurring reports on vendor spend, rogue spend, pricing compliance, and savings opportunities for Operations and leadership
7. Collaborate closely with internal partners to gather data, align purchasing activity, and support better purchasing discipline
8. Proactively communicate vendor or office-related issues to leadership
9. Ensure all work is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and client specifications
10. Contribute positively to a professional, collaborative, and high-integrity work environment
11. Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and business goals

Min Compensation USD $66,000.00/Yr. Max Compensation USD $78,000.00/Yr. What We're Looking For We're seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in data-driven environments and takes ownership of purchasing accuracy and compliance.

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
2. 3+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain management, or a similar role
3. Expert-level Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present complex data clearly
4. Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and organization
5. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
6. Proficiency with ERP systems and the ability to learn new software quickly
7. Power BI experience is a plus
8. Previous purchasing or vendor management experience in the HVAC industry is strongly preferred
9. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams

Physical Requirements

1. Continuously able to work in office environment
2. Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
3. Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
4. Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
5. Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs.
6. Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
7. Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
8. Rarely requires climbing
