Medical Director, Sickle Cell Disease, MD

Pfizer seeks a Medical Director for Sickle Cell Disease to lead US medical strategies and provide clinical expertise across the hematology portfolio. The role involves developing thought leader relationships, reviewing promotional materials, supporting advisory boards, and collaborating cross-functionally to advance the sickle cell disease therapeutic area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute US medical strategies and tactics for the sickle cell disease portfolio
• Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials for fair balance
• Plan and lead advisory boards, congress symposia, and related medical events
• Collaborate with Commercial, Field Medical, and cross-functional teams on strategic direction
• Support publication planning, data generation, and scientific activities for healthcare provider education

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with 4+ years pharmaceutical industry, clinical practice, or combined experience
• Knowledge and experience in sickle cell disease
• Medical Affairs experience preferred
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence across matrix organizations
• Excellent organizational skills with flexibility to prioritize multiple demands
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Compensation: $230,900–$384,800 base plus 25% bonus target and long-term incentive eligibility
