Responsibilities Apply immobilization devices for patient comfort, select proper techniques, and produce images of desired quality, ensuring proper collimation to reduce radiation exposure. Assist physician in the delivery of contrast media, prepare injector, identify malfunctions, and take corrective action. Seek assistance for complex or non‑routine tasks and obtain guidance as needed. Recognize clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams and assist in life‑threatening situations. Process film, subtraction print, and/or film duplication; support darkroom personnel and ensure proper identification and transfer of all film to the file room within one hour of exam completion. Accept Lead Technologist responsibilities in their absence. Assist and evaluate students and support personnel, ensuring proper care and high film quality. Inspect, maintain, secure, and clean all equipment; report damaged equipment for corrective action. Perform proper warming‑up procedures and calibration tests to ensure accuracy and meet specifications. Maintain a safe environment and follow all quality control checks. Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communication, and an exceptional patient experience. Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked. Must‑Haves 1 year of experience in X‑ray, Cath Lab, or radiology special procedures training. Radiologic Technologist license by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRT). Cardio/Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)(VI)(CV). American Heart Association BLS certification.
