We are seeking a Technical Designer 3 with experience in wiring installation design to support the development and maintenance of electrical and mechanical design documentation for commercial aerospace programs. This role is ideal for someone with a background in wire harness design, electrical systems, or mechanical design who enjoys working in a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and release electrical and mechanical drawings, system designs, and engineering documentation.
• Create and modify wiring installation designs and product installation layouts.
• Incorporate engineering changes while ensuring compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Support design validation activities and resolve design discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain part and installation designs ranging from simple to moderately complex.
• Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers to support product development.
• Ensure design documentation is accurate and supports manufacturing and installation requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in wire harness design, electrical design, and/or mechanical design .
• Experience creating and maintaining engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and implement design changes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of related engineering or design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• • CATIA V5
  • Siemens NX
  • SolidWorks
  • ENOVIA
  • Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in one or more of the following:
• • Electrical wiring design
  • Wiring installation design
  • Equipment installation design
  • Systems and wiring architecture
  • FAA, EWIS, or military certification
  • Electrical fabrication
  • Electrical production line support
• Familiarity with electrical system design principles and applicable industry regulations.
• Ability to quickly learn new engineering tools, processes, and procedures.

Education

Typically requires an Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
