Ed Selden Carpet One Floor & Home in Lakewood, WA is looking to hire an experienced Sales Consultant to join their amazing team. If you bring proven high end experience, strong client relationship skills, and a track record of closing sales, this is the career opportunity you've been waiting for! Ed Selden Carpet One is a 3rd generation family owned and operated flooring design showroom serving the Lakewood community for 67 years. Base: $4,000/monthly + Commission

Earning potential of $60K to $118K annually

40 hrs./5-day work week (Monday to Saturday)

Candidates should be able to work 2 Saturdays per month

90 days paid training & mentorship program

Day-to-Day Tasks:

Determine overall flooring & design needs while offering great customer experiences

Build genuine relationships with new & existing customers

Schedule appointments for client design consultations

Keep up to date on the selection of products & services provided

Measure spaces, estimate materials, bid on projects, present proposals, product suggestions, manage payments & oversee project quality

Keep the install team on track by sharing clear notes + photos

Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, availability & to order materials

Utilize social media to create networking groups & prospect for new business

Keep the showroom clean, organized & on trend

What We're Looking For :

3+ years' proven work experience in Flooring Sales, Interior Design, Real Estate, Remodeling Sales, or similar role

Valid driver's license & reliable transportation (REQUIRED)

Ability to pass a background check (REQUIRED)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM platforms

Fundamental tech, social media & math skills

Personal & professional judgmentPositive, communicative & motivated to help grow the business

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities

Quick to help customers get what they need

Organizational skills & the flexibility to pivot from priority to priority

Time management skills & detailed oriented

Strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills

Ability to create project estimates a big plus - willing to train

Knowledge of RFMS a plus, but not required - willing to train

Flooring or design experience is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right person
