Sheet Metal Operator

We are seeking a 2nd shift Sheet Metal Operator to operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including laser cutters, press brakes, PEM install, and other machinery. You will be responsible for producing high-quality sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and CNC programs. This role requires maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and meeting production schedules in a precision fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, waterjet cutters, plasma cutters, press brakes, PEM, and shears.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines according to CNC programs and work instructions, monitoring operation and making adjustments to maintain quality.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and quality defects using measuring tools.
• Select, stage, and handle sheet metal materials for production jobs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on sheet metal equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with programmers and other teams on production priorities and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience or equivalent technical training.

Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Proficiency with measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Basic computer skills for machine operation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
