Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an ASL Paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment. Located in the greater San Antonio area, this on-site position focuses on assisting children with hearing loss in their daily academic and social experiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in nurturing communication and fostering inclusion from now through the end of May 2027, working primarily at one location—Mission Academy—with a potential need to assist at Highlands High School, only a short drive away.

Key Qualifications:

• One of the following is required:• Associate's degree or higher• At least 48 college semester hours recognized by the Texas Education Agency or similar, plus successful completion (≥70%) of a Stedi.org paraeducator course• Pediatric or school-based experience supporting children with hearing loss
• Strong preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree
• Comfortable navigating between two nearby school sites as needed
• Ability to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting and background check

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support for students using ASL, adapting strategies to individual needs
• Assist teachers with academic and social programming to ensure accessibility and engagement
• Encourage student confidence, participation, and social interaction within the classroom and school community
• Track progress and collaborate with teachers, families, and related staff
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district policies

In this role, you’ll work a consistent 37.5-hour week, directly impacting the learning journey of up to 30 students at Mission Academy and 10 students at Highlands High School.
