Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a Level I Trauma, acute care teaching facility operating at high capacity
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV starts and other required clinical skills within scope of practice
• Float to other Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and lower-acuity settings as needed to meet facility demands, including the Emergency Department at a 1:5 ratio
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to weekend requirements (2 weekends per 4-week schedule) and participate in required holiday coverage bundles

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility (non-local requirement); non-local driver's license required on file
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• Prior experience with Cerner charting system
• Comfort with floating across multiple unit types including PCU and lower-acuity settings
