Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license, or eligibility for licensure, in New Mexico
• Prior experience working in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, assessments, and school-based OT interventions
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning needs and support inclusive educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and strengths
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans focused on educational access
• Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in groups
• Monitor, document, and report progress toward IEP goals
• Partner with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
• Stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
