Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position requiring BLS, NBSTSA certification, and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Hospital-based general and trauma OR setting handling a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, general, neuro, and robotic cases
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 0645-1715)
• Call requirements include one night per week and one weekend per month
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• No floating to other facilities unless agreed upon during interview or offer

Requirements

• BLS and NBSTSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties (vascular, general, orthopedic, neuro, robotic, ENT, urology, and more)
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection, and universal protocol/time-out procedures
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Support surgical teams across a wide variety of case types including vascular, orthopedic, general, neuro, robotic, and trauma surgeries
• Maintain sterile fields, instrumentation, and equipment for each case
• Participate in instrument processing, equipment documentation, and specimen handling
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and radiation/laser safety guidelines
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from the facility
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning
• Background history with license issues may be considered on a case-by-case basis
