As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals accessing government social services facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, entrances, exits, common areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
