Self-starter capable of high-level independent work managing DoD, Commercial and CAS covered contracts. Support large program efforts, regularly contribute in business strategy formation and tactical implementations at all levels. Essential Functions: Manage a complex portfolio of DoD-related contracts. Providing business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategic guidance for DoD-related Commercial and CAS covered contracts from contract inception to contract close-out. Provide contractual support for commercial and programmatic strategies, operational decision making, proposal risk analysis, mitigation alternatives, and negotiation oversight. Participate in the proposal development process by identifying areas of risk, and promoting innovative solutions to internal and external customers. Self-starter capable of high-level independent work with strong organizational and computer skills. Outreach and partner with other key functional areas, such as Finance, Programs and Sales on new and continuing programs to ensure desired objectives and outcomes are achieved. Continue to advance commercial pricing strategies and support commercial item procurement justifications where applicable. Analyze new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on business goals and objectives. Work in partnership with legal counsel to provide recommendations from a Contracts perspective on legal activities, intellectual property interests, disputes, claims, protests, and lawsuits. Understanding of and ensuring compliance with US Government acquisition regulations, cost and price estimating concepts, Intellectual Property and an in-depth working knowledge of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 acquisition. Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Contract Management and US Government Federal Acquisition Regulation . Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment. In depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management: RFP review, proposal preparation, negotiation, and administration. Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting. Self-starter with strong organizational and computer skills. Creative and strategic mindset. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $79,500 - $147,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
