You will make friends and get to meet new people every day while assisting them in our gift shops.The outgoing and service-oriented Retail Attendant provides fast and courteous service to our guests interested in purchasing a souvenir to remember their experience.We are currently looking for a:Adventureland Park - Retail Attendant (Rehire)Roles & Responsibilities:Welcome and greet all g uests with a smile as they enter retail locationsInitiate conversations with guests and assist with any questions they may have regarding our merchandise or souvenirsMaintain a general knowledge of all available merchandise to assist guests with questions regarding our productsAtt emp t to increase revenue by utilizing various sales techniques, such as suggestive selling or upsellingResolve guest concerns in a courteous and prompt mannerPromptly communicate potential issues or complaints to retail or park leadership, as neededOperate all POS equipment accurately to finalize all purchasesEnsure merchandise is well stocked , organized , and presentableRefold or rehang clothing items as necessaryEnsure the retail locations are clean and safe for our guestsOperate mobile retail carts, when applicableEnsure that the retail space is free of tripping hazards or any other threats that could potentially injure a guest or another HostAll other duties assigned by leadershipEducation & Experience:No education requiredPrevious work experience is not requiredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements:Must be at least 14 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftAbility to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfactionPrevious experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plusAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or moreWorking Conditions:This role will be based in one or more retail locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environmentsFrequent exposure to the variable outside t emp eratures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsSome exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agentsTeam member benefits:Adventureland Perks & Benefits:Flexible scheduleAbility to cross-train and learn unique skills across various departmentsFree admission to Adventureland Theme Park/Waterpark and select parks on your days offInvitations to exclusive company-sponsored Host events throughout the seasonWe’ve got great jobs for people just starting out in the workforce, looking for a second job or staying active after retirement.
