Rocky's of Northville is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our high-volume, chef-driven scratch kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable culinary professional who takes pride in quality food, enjoys working as part of a strong team, and wants to continue developing their skills.

Established in 1992, Rocky's is a locally owned Northville institution known for fresh seafood, whole-side butchery, a raw bar, daily specials, and menus printed fresh each day.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet high standards of taste and presentation.
• Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels to minimize waste and control costs.
• Coordinate menu planning in collaboration with executive chefs or management to create innovative dishes that delight guests.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
• Oversee catering events, banquets, and special functions with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
• Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize workflow for maximum efficiency.
• Support team development through training on food handling, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
• Maintain a lively kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and a passion for excellence.
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Extensive knowledge of food production processes, menu planning, and food management principles.
• Hands-on experience with inventory management, cost control, and food safety standards.
• Background in banquet service, catering operations, or large-scale food service is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of kitchen equipment operation, food handling procedures, and hospitality best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
