Financial Management Specialist

Duties

As the DoW OIG's Lead DTA, this person manages the DTS travel program. They are the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on travel policy, entitlements, and system errors, providing guidance, resolving issues, and serving as the primary contact for the DTMO.

The Lead DTA administers the agency's travel system, trains staff and develops policy. They act as the key liaison to DFAS and DTMO, provide expert guidance on all travel, including PCS moves, and ensure compliance with JTR regulations.

This role monitors travel funds, maintains Lines of Accounting (LOA), and resolves system issues in DTS. It fixes accounting errors (ULOs, UMDs), tracks unsubmitted vouchers, and works with budget and DFAS to resolve all financial issues.

This role provides DTS guidance, troubleshooting, and technical training for DoW OIG personnel. It involves assigning user permissions, creating instructions, and working directly with the DTMO to resolve system issues while guiding Component DTAs.

This role manages the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program. Responsibilities include processing applications, monitoring card usage, reconciling centrally billed accounts, resolving misuse and delinquencies.
