IT Specialist - ExpertResponsibilities include but not limited to the following:Architectural Design: Develop high-level and detailed technical architectures for IT/OT converged transportation systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and interoperability.Technology Evaluation and Selection: Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and solutions that meet the specific requirements of transportation IT/OT convergence.Integration Strategy: Define strategies and blueprints for integrating disparate IT and OT systems, including data flow, communication protocols, and security mechanisms.Security Integration: Embed cybersecurity principles and best practices into the architecture from the outset, ensuring that security is a foundational element of the converged environment. This includes designing for network segmentation, access control, and threat detection.Performance Optimization: Design solutions that optimize the performance and efficiency of transportation operations through effective data utilization and system integration. StakeholderCollaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams, IT professionals, OT engineers, cybersecurity experts, and vendors to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to project teams throughout the lifecycle of solution development and implementation.Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Prototypes: Lead the development and execution of PoCs and prototypes to validate architectural designs and explore innovative solutions.Documentation: Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and design rationales.Standards and Best Practices: Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements for transportation and critical infrastructure.Future-Proofing: Design solutions that are adaptable to future technological advancements and evolving operational needsMandatory Qualifications1 - 84 months of experience in IT, systems engineering, and operational technology specifically in an architect or lead systems engineer role.2 - 84 months of experience with IT/OT Convergence that integrates OT systems (like traffic signals) with modern IT systems (cloud databases, data lakes, and enterprise analytics).3 - 72 months experience designing secure architectures that isolate sensitive OT control networks from corporate IT networks4 - 72 months of experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or private clouds) that ingest massive streams of real-time data.5 - 60 months of experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices, including Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras, Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS), and vehicle detection systems (radar, microwave, loop detectors).6 - 48 months of experience managing a team consisting of solution architects, data architects, and/or business/systems analysts7 - 48 months of experience evaluating, selecting, and managing hardware and software vendors, ensuring they adhere to Federal and/or State Policies and StandardsRequired Documentation - • Résumé • Copy of Candidate Identification (i.e., Driver's License/Green Card/Visa and Passport if applicable) • Any documents referenced in the above Requested Qualifications (i.e., professional certifications, degrees, etc.)i-Link Solutions requires a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems or a closely related field of study for all positions.Disclaimer: i-Link Solutions Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
