About the Opportunity AMI Expeditionary Healthcare (AMI) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team supporting the Hyannis Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient‑centered outpatient care to Veterans while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare team committed to clinical excellence. Schedule Mon‑Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm What You'll Do Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management Perform patient assessments, medical histories, physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness in accordance with VA guidelines Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Promote preventive health through screenings, immunizations, wellness counseling, and patient education Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the VA electronic health record Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with VA policies, patient safety standards, and privacy regulations Foster effective communication with Veterans, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care Complete required VA credentialing, privileging, mandatory training, and continuing medical education requirements Required Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine Current DEA registration National Provider Identifier (NPI) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Successfully complete the AMI credentialing process Inclusion & Cultural Competency Utilize appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities. Deliver targeted, culturally appropriate information to help individuals and groups understand health promotion and disease prevention information, policies, regulations, and local code.
