We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for immediate placement at Pittsburgh North Surgical Center located in Cranberry Township, PA The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in Spine, Podiatry and pain management; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus as we also perform vascular access procedures. 

The Registered Nurse will gather pre-treatment patient data, monitor patient and medications during procedures while performing concious sedation. The registered nurse will provide assistance to the clinical team during pre and post procedure activities.

This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights and weekend shifts. ASC hours Monday – Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Our employees enjoy a great work/life balance and a highly supportive team environment.

This is a part-time position that could be full time, we are flexible.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Conscious Sedation: Provide ongoing patient information to the interventionist and clinical team during procedures to deliver vascular access care to the patient including but not limited to cardiac monitoring, aldrete score, pain status. Monitor patient vitals (HR, BP, O2Sat, EKG) during procedures

Surgical Procedures (not providing conscious sedation): Pull surgical cases prior to start of cases, circulate surgical cases, anticipate the needs of the physician and clinical team, provide report to PACU team. 

Be cross trained in Pre op and PACU to be part of a well rounded team.

Other jobs and responsibilities will be assigned upon hire.

Gather patient clinical information prior to procedures including patient assessments and patient history

Maintain up-to-date narcotic drug log

Maintain clear and accurate patient medical records

Communicate with dialysis facilities to monitor post-care as directed by center manager

Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies

Experience:

Registered Nurse : 2 years (Preferred)

Scrub: 1 year (Preferred)
