Location: Napanee, IN Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite Salary: $100,000–$125,000

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead the financial operations of the organization. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an analytical accounting professional who understands how financial performance connects to costing, margins, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can manage the accounting function while partnering closely with operations and executive leadership to improve profitability, strengthen processes, and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing leadership with meaningful financial insight and recommendations.
• Analyze cost structures, margins, variances, and profitability to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with operations and senior leadership to understand business performance and drive financially sound decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting, dashboards, and KPIs that provide clear visibility into company performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide detailed analysis around labor, materials, overhead, pricing, and operational performance.
• Lead process improvements designed to increase accuracy, efficiency, and financial controls.
• Mentor, develop, and hold the accounting team accountable while creating a high-performing culture.
• Support audits, tax activities, and other strategic financial initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Demonstrated understanding of cost accounting, margins, profitability, and variance analysis.
• Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify trends and business opportunities within financial data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial leaders.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team.
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
