Assistant Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical Telemetry RN

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee and coordinate clinical operations within a medical surgical centralized telemetry unit. This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising patient care services to ensure high-quality outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily clinical activities, including staff supervision and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to support effective service delivery.
• Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
• Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among care providers and external agencies.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements through ongoing monitoring.
• Assess and maintain adequate staffing levels and staff competency for safe equipment use.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities.
• Provide orientation, training, and continuing education for nursing staff.
• Assist in budget management, space planning, and resource recommendations.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to identify and resolve patient throughput barriers and facilitate timely discharges.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and hospital functional capacity metrics.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing BSN.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience related to the management area and at least 1 year of management or related leadership experience.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
• Strong leadership skills with knowledge of budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with nurse practice acts and age-specific patient care needs.
• Physical ability to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting.
