System Engineer

About the role: Perform review of hardware design, review in the area of system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design. Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs. Learn and understand component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables. Participate in the set‑up, system modification, system integration and testing, and delivery of our projects. Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems. Willing to travel and work with local customers. You will report to the department manager and be located at Huntsville, AL. Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs. Learn and understand component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with applicable years' experience in drawing review, design and systems. Minimum 1–3 years of applicable experience required. Data acquisition hardware and software Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces. Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards. Experience with ACAD, 3D modeling. Drawing review. Experience with Cisco switches. Experience with RTP data acquisition systems or other. Experience with servers and workstations. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 annually.
