Department Overview The McDonald's US Franchising Strategy team is aligned to make McDonald’s the greatest franchising opportunity. The Field Placement Manager leads and executes the franchisee placement process, supporting the US Strategic Franchising vision, achieving annual goals, and ensuring a seamless transition for candidates from qualified to owner-operator status. Duties Execute the US Strategic Franchising Vision. Participate in field office franchising meetings to understand, prioritize, and support franchising needs. Manage the placement process and experience for candidates from Qualified to Buy through to receiving keys. Collaborate with USSF Teams, Field & MHQ stakeholders on execution of field franchising strategies and policies for placements and owner-operator relocations. Coordinate with US & Field Finance, US Treasury on timely financing solutions for new owner-operators acquiring restaurants. Screen financial viability and valuation of restaurant sales packages for new buyers. Schedule and lead the Qualified to Buy (“QTB”) interview process. Prepare weekly and monthly reports and analysis on placement progress toward USSF annual goals for USSF leadership. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Prior experience in franchising, field operations, finance, real‑estate development, deal administration, or a related corporate environment. Strong organizational, time‑management, and follow‑up skills with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously. Strong business and financial/P&L acumen along with excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to leverage resources. Experience analyzing financials, NRBES, and vision plans for the restaurant SBO process. Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for building rapport and relationships that drive effective stakeholder management across multiple disciplines. Ability to work successfully in a fast‑paced environment, balancing sensitive issues while managing competing priorities. Experience participating in structured interview processes and providing objective candidate evaluations.
