Manager, Operations Technology

Department Overview The McDonald’s Headquarters has an exciting opportunity for you to become an Operations Technology Manager. In this role, you will work closely with all aspects of Restaurant Technology and Restaurant Execution across the US Business to maximize results, elevate the customer, restaurant, crew, and customer experience. Orchestrate execution priorities with an enterprise mindset for the implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of national restaurant technology initiatives within the field office. Act as the subject matter expert for all operations‑related technology and liaison between assigned Field Office, IPD (Initiative Planning and Deployment), and US Technology stakeholders. Reports directly to the US Director of Operations Technology. To Be Successful Strategize and influence Operations Officers and other key stakeholders to drive business results. Understand and identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities to provide recommendations and solutions to elevate system performance. Generate repeatable and scalable systems, routines, and processes to support end‑user efficiencies. Clearly identify lanes of engagement to support system initiatives and work seamlessly with key stakeholders. Demonstrate McDonald’s core values & leadership behaviors. Duties Partnership and Alignment with Operations Officers on execution priorities supporting the annual plan. Partnership with Strategic Technology Integration Managers and key stakeholders to ensure restaurant readiness, alignment, and sequencing. Collaboration and Partnership with PMO on operations training strategy; collaborate with deployment teams. Education, Communication & Guidance to stakeholders about deployment readiness; provide best practices. Subject Matter Expertise on Operations Technology initiatives. Partnership with Operations Team; act as advocate for growth. Issue Escalations guidance and resolution path; educate primary customers. Oversee Changes of Ownership to ensure restaurants open on time. Partnership with OTP Program Manager to elevate the OTP network. Ensure backup in each Field Office when not available. Job Responsibilities Changes of Ownership – Oversight of the restaurant technology changeover from buyers to sellers. Developing Operations Technology Professionals (OTP) – support owner/operator technology. O/O Led Projects – SME support for self‑led construction and technology requirements. Escalations – Oversight of resolution of restaurant technology issues. Subject Matter Expertise on all McDonald’s Technology platforms and systems. Strategic Responsibilities supporting business goals: Reducing Restaurant Down‑Time with proactive strategies. Supporting Franchising with technology transfers on acquisition day. Leveraging OTP Network for scalable guidance. Building bench by cultivating talent for future Ops Tech Managers. Stakeholder Management : US IT – Hardware, Software, Deployment and Support Teams. National OTP Team partnership. US Franchising coordination of changes of ownership. Building relationships with Owner/Operators in field office. Partner and advisor to Field Leadership. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in Operations function. Proof of vaccination required (COVID‑19); must be willing to receive vaccine. BA/BS degree preferred. Operations expertise. Strategic and agile thinker. Collaborator; forge effective partnerships. Ability to work effectively in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments. Strong problem‑solving, organization and time‑management skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Self‑starter with positive attitude and willingness to learn.
