About us
Milestone Industrial Steel is a structural steel fabricator on 12 acres in Glendale. We handle everything from material procurement to in-house fabrication to field erection for commercial, industrial, and custom residential projects across Arizona. We're growing, and we want people looking for a career, not just a job.
The role
You'll be the hub between our shop floor, our suppliers, and our job sites. You'll make sure the right material comes in, the right steel goes out, and the paperwork matches every time.
What you'll do
- Receive incoming steel (beams, plate, pipe, tube, angle) and check it against POs, mill certs, and packing lists
- Flag shortages, damage, and wrong grades or sizes, and work with vendors to resolve them
- Tag, stage, and track inventory and remnants so the shop can find material fast
- Build loads by job and sequence, and verify pieces against check-off lists and shipping lists
- Prepare bills of lading and delivery paperwork, and confirm signed BOLs come back
- Coordinate truck schedules with drivers, freight carriers, and field crews
- Load and unload trucks safely with forklift and overhead crane
- Keep shipping and receiving records accurate in spreadsheets and our tracking system
- Keep the yard and dock organized, safe, and clean
