Field Electrician - Arc Flash Evaluations, LIM & ATS Testing

Who we are Guidant Power provides arc flash evaluations, infrared inspection, and electrical safety training to industrial, commercial, and healthcare clients nationwide. Since 2011 we have completed thousands of evaluations and inspections for well‑known companies in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing. Who we need We are looking for an individual with prior industrial electrical experience to travel to customer sites and collect information and inspect their electrical distribution systems. You should have experience working in well‑run industrial facilities, hospitals, or data centers and be able to read and understand one‑line diagrams. You should be able to identify components within the electrical distribution system and describe how they function. Following our safety procedures, you will be required to open live equipment to record data. In addition to arc flash evaluations, you will perform Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) testing in critical environments such as hospitals and data centers. This work requires attention to detail, clear communication, and adherence to strict safety and operational procedures to minimize disruption to essential systems. We are looking for an individual who can work independently as well as with a team. Most of your time will be spent alone, and you must be efficient, able to manage time effectively, understand your limitations, and ask for help when necessary. Although you will be alone on site, you will be constantly communicating with our team during the site visit, so there is plenty of support if you need it. What you’ll do Travel to job sites to conduct arc flash evaluations Open equipment and record equipment information via photos, paper, and electronic means Read and understand one‑line drawings and make edits to create accurate as‑built drawings Test and document performance of LIMs and ATS equipment following established procedures and customer requirements Utilize online document storage to retrieve and upload data, as well as spreadsheets to enter information Communicate with engineering and the customer to answer questions and ensure accuracy Apply labels to electrical equipment Conduct yourself professionally at all times because you are the company’s interface with our customers; be able to observe and inquire about other opportunities where the company may be able to help Use your brain, not your brawn; we want someone who can use their experience to accurately describe electrical distribution systems so our engineers can efficiently model them You’ll get to see how stuff works—from ice cream factories to tires to hospitals to nuclear power plants, you will be working with a wide variety of customers whose names you will know. What you bring to the table Industrial experience (previous experience with arc flash evaluations, LIM or ATS a plus, or an electrical engineering degree) Ability to travel (valid driver’s license, air travel) Live within an hour of a major airport Ability to work efficiently on laptops and tablets and be proficient using applications similar to Google Drive, spreadsheets, Google Photos, and PDF files Proven teamwork and collaboration skills working in a small, highly focused and interactive team Additional Information Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk, stand, and crawl for extended periods You must reside in the USA We are not currently providing employment visa sponsorship This is a 100% travel position What we offer Compensation package commensurate with experience and skills Health insurance 401(k) Flexible working policy Pay $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) Competitive benefit package Schedule 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Year‑round work License/Certification Electrical License (Preferred) Work Location On the road #J-18808-Ljbffr Guidant Power
